Derived from the Sanskrit word meaning “happiness” or “joy.”“Khushi” is a term of endearment in the South Asian community and embodies the spirit of the Indian culture; people of great joy and happiness.
“Khushi” was created to celebrate the Canadian South Asian community and provide representation for Indian Canadians; who advocate the use of the cannabis plant.
Cannabis in India has been known to be used at least as early as 2000 BCE.
In Indian society, common terms for cannabis preparations include charas (resin), ganja (flower), and bhang (seeds and leaves), with Indian drinks such as bhang lassi and bhang thandai made from bhang being one of the most common uses.
